Marisol’s achievement is that by managing to be simultaneously strong and subtle, the audience feels interest and even familiarity in the plight of the characters as they deal with their fantastical and apocalyptic world. As a result, Marisol is intense without being overwhelming as well as thoroughly thought-provoking.

We would like to invite everyone to participate in our poetry jam we are asking each participate to prepare a poem and submit it to us either at the Student Lounge at Fresno City College or at our email address culturasunidasfresno@yahoo.com. Just recently it was brought to our attention that Fresno City has an exclusive contract to sell Coke on its campus. This may not seem so problematic at first, since until recently many public schools have been in the business of pushing Coke to their students. Now many might think that this is the run of the mill story about a white powdery substance that goes hand in hand with hyperactivity, and has various bad effects on a person’s body.
