A traditional Mexican Posada Navidena, performed by the award winning Compania Mazatlan Bellas Artes de Sacramento. The colorful celebration includes the traditional Christmas processional (posada), Mexican holiday songs (a visit from the Three Kings, pinatas and mariachis. Tickets are $35 – Floor and $25 – Balcony and can be purchased at the Warnors box office, 1400 Fulton St, Fresno; by phone at (559) 264-2848 or online at www.warnors.org. As part of our Season of Giving, a portion of the proceeds will go to six local charitable organizations.

It's time to confront reality.

Downtown Fresno is dead, it's never coming back and our leaders should stop pouring taxpayer money into a sinkhole.

The overwhelming majority of Fresnans don't care about downtown. It's too brown, too black, too yellow or too icky for suburban psyches.

Parking is expensive and a hassle. If you're lucky enough to find a parking spot, you end up with a ticket -- or getting hit for change by panhandlers.

People go downtown because they have to, not because they want to.
