Circuit City has begun layoffs of 3400 employees who make too much money. In order to cut cost Circuit City will be laying off 3400 employees who Circuit City says are paid above the market based salary range for the positions. In a move to show that Circuit City is not the cold-hearted, money hungry, only caring for the bottom line & investors company that they are, Circuit City has told employees who were fired that they can reapply for their jobs at the new, lower pay rate.
