Post anything you guys notice that needs to be changed or fixed here. General site ideas are still a ways away, this is more for the little fixes. ie. typos, fields that aren't descriptive enough in their meaning, user-friendliness issues. Thanks and keep the input coming!

banner seems to be fixed, but...
hello all,
so the banner seems to be fixed but now the page is about 2 1/2 inches longer than it used to be. before there was about 1/4 inch that was off the screen, but now half of the rogue ad is off the screen. nothing i do seems to make it better.
variable width - fixed width

i would recommend changing from a variable width layout to a fixed width layout. it is much easier to maintain a design when it is not dependent on the viewer screen dimensions (which can be manipulated by the user).

This site is still in
This site is still in progress but we will eventually get to it. If you coud give me some more details like: What browser are you using, is your window maximized to full screen, what size monitor are you using. All of these things will help to fix the issue after all of the functionality of the site is resolved. Thanks for being patient.

front page of site needs editing
the links underneath the ad could be moved to other spots. the rogue reviews need to be easier to see for folks. the calender doesn't need to be on the left side of the front page, since we already have the coming events piece there. we need to create a local news section unless we just want to use the site as a place for people to syndicate their work.
does any one else see this sort of stuff as a reason to have a meeting...

it would be cool to have a meeting sometime this week. especially for the website issues...getting together with zain, crockford, and others who want to work on the site...
it would also be nice for checking in and looking towards april and may...

Meeting
A meeting would be great idea. How does Friday afternoon work for everyone? I'm not sure where everyone is located so we could do like a virtual meeting or an in-person meeting. I know that myself and imaginet could show up in person pretty much anywhere in Fresno.
I presume Crockford and Irlandeso would be the other two people interested in getting involved. So let me know and we'll see how many people we can get interested in the project.

i am pretty open to whatever time is put out for other folks and can go where ever in fresno...though someplace with wireless is necessary
didn't see this posting until today though...
setting up some sort of email or phone communication might work out better i guess...
anyway, we'll figure it out soon hopefully...

hello imaginet. the banner ad seems to be covering tabs at the top of the page.

I've looked at it on my Mac with both Safari and Firefox and I'm not seeing any problems. I've checked my PC using firefox and IE and see no problems either. I have a feeling the problem stems from the small screen on your laptop carlos, but that would be something we need to address.
So as far as that goes, we're sorry for the inconvenience right now and we'll try to sort it out as soon as we can.
In the meantime however, i strongly recommend you go see mr. nocketbacks comedy jihad. I do believe I noticed carlos crying from laughing so much at multiple points throughout the show.

hey zain you should post a reveiw of the show. there are two up there now but you could add to them. you were correct that i was crying from laughter, but they were mixed in with tears of joy as well. see baby bird get his wing and fly away from the nest. it was a wonderful moment for me.

i'm looking at it in firefox as well. i just looked at it in safari as well and its blocking all of the tags upto "store" in "online store." its the bottom fifth of the banner ad thats doing the blocking

browser are you looking at it in...if its explorer maybe thats the problem...cause i am looking at it in firefox and its having some issues

it might be cool to have the ability to message other members. also it would be nice to be able to post bigger pictures with with articles. Not much bigger, but a little bit bigger. The pictures are a little small.
Suggestion
I feel that the 'real' name of registered uses should either carry a warning in the field that it will be seen by the public or that it not be displayed at all.
Also, the being my first comment I noticed my quote or 'sig' was quoted into the comment box. I think it should be near the bottom or not even be shown in the comment box and just added to each post.
Cool site...this is gonna be fun.

Well that was an excellent suggestion about the real name. I've hidden that so other users can no longer see your real name if you wish to remain anonymous. And as far as your comments being put into the comment box....well we want this to be an interactive site, and its an easy way for people to know what and where people are talking about stuff. It keeps replies and posts flowing.
But as always, thanks for your suggestions, we welcome any and all recommendations/criticism.
