Heavy Sugar Jazz Improv features vocalist Karen Marguth with Kevin Hill on bass (Sam Rocha played bass on one song), Jason Wanner on piano, Dustin Peterson on guitar, and Gary Newmark on drums (or "drum," more appropriately!).

This was the last show I saw for the first weekend of Rogue, and what a great way to close the weekend! Karen Marguth has once again assembled a fantastic ensemble of musicians to perform a terrific set. I loved watching the musicians interact, clearly having a great time, as they played such songs as Route 66, East of the Sun, and many others with staggering virtuosity. The improv was great, and Karen's voice is enchanting.
