Be a Rogue Volunteer!

by: Jessi Hafer
The Rogue Festival (the highly anticipated, yearly performance festival) is holding a Volunteer Meeting on Saturday, February 2 at 1pm at Ashtree Studios to recruit and train volunteers for the upcoming festival (February 28 through March 8, 2008). I volunteered a couple of years ago, and it was a great experience! It's a wonderful way to get involved, support the arts and the community, and be around a lot of great people!
Volunteering is pretty easy, too. Box office volunteers are in high demand to sell tickets outside the various venues before the shows and answer occasional questions for a few hours. It's even more fun if you get a friend to volunteer with you (you'll have someone to talk to between shows). Thanks to volunteers, the Rogue Festival is able to ensure that 100% of box office sales go to the performers.
In addition to the February 2 meeting, a Workday/Volunteer meeting will be held on Saturday, February 23 at 3pm at Ashtree Studios. For more info on the Rogue Festival, visit:
